Your role:
Coordinating and managing a team of editors (in house and free lance)
Checking incoming manuscripts in English, French, and other modern (German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch) and ancient/medieval (Latin, Greek, Occitan, etc.) languages
Pre-editing, non-content related manuscript editing (correction of inconsistencies, adherence to style guides, etc.), document formatting
Harmonise author corrections, technical proofreading, check indexes, academic citations
Verification of the clarity and structure of the text
Editorial administrative duties
Report to the Office Coordinator and work in relationship with Publishing Managers
Your profile:
Experienced in copy editing or in proofreading
Very good written command of English and French; knowledge of German, other European languages or Latin will be an advantage
Interested in European history and cultures, across countries, periods, languages and disciplines
Excellent knowledge of MS office programs (mainly Word and Excel), some knowledge of XML, InDesign or databases will be an advantage
Experience with scientific databases is a plus
You will be a very accurate, systematic and efficient team player

We are responsible for creating, running and improving the "brain" behind ZuluTrade.com and other related services. It consists of a swarm of applications we created from scratch, written mainly using Java SE and EE technologies. What you will be doing in ZuluTrade Backend? As soon as you start, we will help you catch up with our technology, products, culture and make you feel at home. Then it's on to you to start helping the best way you can by identifying and fixing problems. We will define an area that you will be responsible for. We will periodically define the goals to help the team, improve the products and add value to the company. As you gain credit, you will start building your own systems.
